THE VIRTUAL REALITY HOMEBREW ASSOCIATION TM

Soon Homebrew/Low-End VR Researchers and Developers will have a
source for information and discounted virtual-world-building tools.

HOUSTON, TX.-December 16, 1991-SPECTRUM DYNAMICS, a Virtual Reality
Product Distributing start-up company, announces a first step
toward keeping the fledging VR community abreast of the ever-
expanding product offerings in this growing industry. The company
has aligned itself with a range of Low End VR System Developers
offering everything from Entry-Level systems to SENSE8's High-
Performance/Low-Cost WorldTool Kit. Spectrum Dynamics is in the
process of putting together a catalog of product offerings. The
philosophy behind the catalog is to provide an efficient industry
inventory, comparison and ordering mechanism for those products
that lend themselves well to catalog distributing. As such, High
End and complex systems requiring demonstration and systems-
integration support will not be offered until the catalog service
offerings are fully developed. Spectrum Dynamics intends to make
the first issue of its catalog available for $15.00. It is due out
2nd quarter 1992. Spectrum Dynamics will continue to receive
requests by VR firms who would like to have their products
distributed by the company. The cut-off date for the first catalog
is February 29, 1992.

SPECTRUM DYNAMICS is also sponsoring the VIRTUAL REALITY HOMEBREW
ASSOCIATION in recognition of the threat to small developers posed
by the growing interest in VR by the world's large computer
manufacturers and other conglomerates. The Virtual Reality
Homebrew Association (VRHA) is dedicated to the mission of
supporting Homebrew/Low-End developers and preventing their
innovations from being taken over by the giants. Those who are
involved in VR and require incubator services may now join the VRHA
for a $200.00 annual fee. Spectrum Dynamics is offering a $50.00
discount to those who sign on before March 15, 1992. Membership
benefits include a discount on many products offered through
Spectrum Dynamics, thus allowing membership to pay for itself in a
very short period of time. All issues of the Spectrum Dynamics
product catalog are mailed free of charge to VRHA members. Other
benefits include the dissemination of nonproprietary VR technical
and marketing information through the Spectrum Dynamics biannual
newsletter--THE LOOKING GLASSTM, first issue due out late 2nd
quarter 1992. Membership in the VRHA and product offerings
available through Spectrum Dynamics are open to all.

GREGORY M. KLEIN-One of the first graduates of the
Telecommunications Program started under the School of
Communications Radio and Television degree plan at the University
of Houston-University Park. Mr. Klein worked his way through
school with a job in the Banking Industry at Texas Commerce Bank's
Central Branch. From there he went to work for Houston
International Teleport (H.I.T), a project of Satellite Transmission
And Receptions Specialists (STARS), where he maintained and
commissioned SNA/SDLC circuits over terrestrial and satellite links
(Hughes VSAT Technology). Most recently he has served on the City
of Houston's Network Planning Team maintaining a complex T1/Fiber
network consisting of multiple AT&T voice and data switches and
various Mainframes (predominately SNA) and UNIX based mini-
computers. Mr. Klein has been following VR, especially with
respect to telecommunications and networking, for just over one
year.

GIUSEPPE FERRIGNO-A graduate of the Management Information Systems
Program of the University of Houston's nationally renown School of
Business. Mr. Ferrigno worked his way through school by
programming for Texaco. He then moved on to the technologically
current Houston Lighting and Power Company. There Mr. Ferrigno has
honed his skills in "C" while programming in an IBM RS/6000 AIX
environment. He also plays an important and integral role in
HL&P's Artificial Intelligence Research and Development.

ROBERT WONG-A product of the University of Houston's Computer
Science Program. At the University of Houston, Mr. Wong served
under the prestigious and nationally recognized leader in
SuperConductivity Research, Professor Paul Chu. Mr. Wong is
founder of SES Research, a SuperConductivity research firm. He is
also the developer of the Soot Machine (patent pending), a complex
and innovative machine designed to extract Soot, Carbon 60 and
Carbon 70 from graphite. All of these extracts are used in
SuperConductivity Research. Mr. Wong's interest in VR lies in the
area of molecular and machine modeling.
