Has anyone here looked at the _Virtual Reality Studio_ software, by
dOmark, a subsidy (I think) of Accolade? It retails for about $100,
and it has both good and bad points:

1. The documentation is a little skimpy on the actual how-to
instructions. I.e. they say "You can do this and this and..." but
they don't quite tell you how to do it.

2. The software seems to be originally intended to create 3-D games.
The software has a function that's like a laser, so that when you
press the space bar in a virtual world, it shoots at whatever the
cursor's on.

3. It does come with a fairly slick video cassette (VHS) showing what
to do and (sort of) how to do it. A neat idea, you don't have to wade
through 2500 pages of documentation to find out how to do the simple
stuff.

4. The programming language to set conditions for various objects is
straight-forward and simple.

5. Runs on virtually any IBM-based system. It runs best on 386-based
stuff with a mouse and superVGA screen, but can be done in CGA on an
8088-based machine with no mouse. (It's also available for the
Amiga).

The package costs about $100 up here in Ottawa.
