These are from a FAQ of the device they sent me, which I'll pass on if
anybody wants it.

Also, a good place to start is the Sturman and Zeltzer article that Toni
pointed out - that is:

D. J. Sturman and D. Zeltzer. A survey of glove-based input. IEEE
Computer Graphics and Applications, 14(1):30--39, January 1994.

It's only about six pages, but it covers almost everything.

A similar amount of material is available in Sturman's PhD Thesis which
is available at:

ftp://media.mit.edu/pub/sturman/WholeHandInput/

Also, there is some information in my literature survey (a bit out of
date, and some of the numbers are just ouright wrong, but it gives an
introduction). Look at the section under Whole Hand Input. The http is:

http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~waleed/thesis/thesis.html

Hope this proves to be useful.

Cheers,

Waleed.
