Subject: PUB: A Good Magazine VR Article!

The September issue PC-PRO Magazine (in the UK) has a stunning 6 page
article on VR entitled "Brave New Worlds". The preface says: "Hyped-up
stories of virtual sex and interactive gaming adventures have obscured
the serious side to virtual reality. Dick Pountain assesses whether VR
can improve our lives"

The article provides a general overview of virtual reality,
concentrating mainly on what benefits VR can bring to standard
applications. Reading between the lines it would appear as though the
journalist has got his information from only a small number of sources
(mainly VR equipment suppliers), but saying that, the article is well
balanced and without hype or hysteria.

After the rash of scare-mongering stories on cybersickness which hit
the British media recently, it's very refreshing to see such a well
written piece of journalism!

P.S. The cover CD-ROM contains a full working version of Virtek's excellent
VR world editor.
