The University of Essex is pleased to announce the creation of the
Virtual Applications, Systems and Environments Lab -- VASE Lab --
dedicated to all things virtual.  The lab is an inter-departmental
facility of the university, with expertise in computer graphics, image
processing, psychology and robotics.  This is reflected in, though not
limited to, the research interests below:

Teleconferencing        - immersive and immerseless
Telepresence            - robotic navigation
VR on the WWW           - VRML model creation, browser development, etc
Multi-modal Interaction - speech/gesture interaction with virtual objects
