One need look no further than the front page of the current (Nov 1995)
VR NEWS to read, "Virtual i-O partners with Planar to produce AMEL-based
HMDs."  AMEL are active matrix electroluminescent flat panel displays
that sacrifice accurate color for higher resolution graphics.  Applica-
tions include replacement of computer monitors and similar purposes.
