Virtual Reality SIG Visits the First Apartments in Cyberspace

The Next meeting of the Virtual Reality Special Interest Group will be
on Thursday, December 7th at 7:30 PM at The Electronic Cafe
International in Santa Monica. Pascal Baudar, Creative Director at
Multimedia Magic will do a live presentation of CyberTown, a gigantic
web site that is one of the first to functionally adopt The Virtual
Reality Modeling Language (VRML) as part of their site. They provide
an opportunity for web-wanderers to inhabit and furnish their choice
from a variety of floor-plans for VRML apartments.

Joining us live for an interview from San Francisco via PictureTel
Videoconferencing will be Alan Crawley, the Director of Elysium
development at Virtuality Technologies, Inc. Elysium is a fully
integrated, immersive and interactive VR development and delivery
platform. The system provides great price performance benchmarks,
bringing many high fidelity features to the desktop price range. The
company is a division of Virtuality, Ltd, Plc, of Leicester, England,
developers of the world's first complete VR system for Entertainment
Centers.

Each speaker will be available for questions and answers during the
program. Admission is $10.00 at the door. The Electronic Cafe is
located at 1649 18th Street, in Santa Monica. From the 10 Fwy West,
exit at Cloverfield, go right to Olympic, then left to 18th Street.
Go right to the end of the block, and turn in to the last driveway on
the right. The Electronic Cafe is located at the southeast corner of
that lot. For more information call Dave Blackburn at (310) 545-0369,
