Associate Investigator in
Applied Research & Engineering

Become part of a team in a 13-year-old, small yet dynamic, RD&E
consulting company located in income-tax-free southern New
Hampshire dedicated to supporting systems design, analysis, and
evaluation in cognitive systems engineering, computer vision,
automatic object recognition, and virtual worlds.

**We have an immediate opening for Associate Investigator** to
participate in the development of an innovative system built on
concepts of problem solving through interaction -- competition
and/or cooperation -- within a dynamic population of autonomous
software agents.

**Your experience and aptitude should encompass:**

		* Computational learning -- e.g., evolutionary computation
		* Complex adaptive systems
		* Autonomous agents
		* Evidential reasoning
		* Cognitive systems engineering

We are interested most in a person with *broad* expertise and
interest across the above areas, and less so in a person who
strives to be the ultimate specialist.

**To continue to succeed -- and grow into the role of Principal
Investigator -- in our corporate research & development
environment you also must be competent in:**

		* Identifying and developing new applied research problems
		* Exploiting synergy among multi-disciplinary capabilities
		* Expressing concepts (orally and in writing) both
			pedagogically and cogently to in-house technical staff
			and to corporate customers
		* Modeling phenomena and developing algorithms

**Support skills should include**

		* Strong math and/or physics abilities
		* Proficiency in C or C++ (C++ preferred)
		* Other languages (Lisp, Prolog, Ada) desirable

All positions require a commitment to excellence, grace under
pressure, and the ability to adapt in the face of changing
responsibilities. We want you to make a significant contribution
to our company, and you will have the opportunity to grow and
help define your own future. If this sounds like you, then we
want to meet you. We offer competitive salary (commensurate with
experience & skills) and an excellent benefits package (BC/BS
health insurance, dental, LTD, paid vacations, holidays, a smoke-
free environment, and more).

You should have achieved an M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science,
applied mathematics, cognitive systems engineering, electrical
engineering, or related field. You should also be a U.S. citizen
ready to work in a smoke-free environment.
