This is the old entertainment stigma.  Most of the advances in
computer science were first invented by someone trying to write a cool
game.  Not to process personnel records, and not to shoot missiles.

But the corporate world doesn't want to know about this.  So you have
to blah blah at them about Serious Applications, and avoid mentioning
entertainment entirely.  If you mention entertainment, you have to
include large numbers of dollars in the sentence.
