Dear friends,

As contributor for the Italian VR magazine Virtual, I am gathering
information and ideas for an article about... sci.virtual-worlds!

I do think it deserves attention, since it has served the VR community
for so long, since Feb 1990; I personally owe much to this community,
all I've done in VR, most of my knowledge, the speeches I've held here
in Italy and abroad, my column on the now extinct (but still
remembered) VRWorld, my personal friendship with so many sci.v-wers
(what I probably value most), I owe most of this to the group.

I would like to receive your comments about the group, anything you
want to share, how you use it, why, how often, what you like and what
you don't. I would love to hear the voices of people who have been
here for many years, who have seen its history, who have been involved
in the exciting but unlucky experience of its sister-group,
sci.v-w.apps (thanks again, Bob), but also the voices of people who
joined the group only recently... everyone can have something to say,
and I am interested in it all.

Please send your comments to me, personally via email, as this is
definitely a "metadiscussion" (on this group about this group), and
won't probably fit much into its usual contents.

Thank you very much for your precious time, and, hopefully,
collaboration.

All the best, and keep on posting!

Diego Montefusco
