A few years ago I posted a long paper here on some ideas for
improving real-time graphics rendering using some extra
hardware. There was a lot of interest at the time but it has
been difficult to know whether anyone followed up on the ideas.

Here at the University of Melbourne we're planning a project
to begin in 1996 to implement the methods in hardware and
develop the algorithms further. If anyone has already tried
it out, we'd appreciate your comments!

The paper (and a shorter synopsis) is available from my web
page below.
