Yes, the 11-foot focal depth of the "Virtual i-glasses!" was intended
to avoid just the problem you're having, but I don't think that you'd
be happy with the resolution.

The highest resolution available today in full-color miniature LCDs is
181,470 pixels. This is far below the 640*480*3=921,600 pixels needed
for full-color VGA resolution.  It's fine for PC gaming and other
video applications, but probably not for detailed graphical work.
Especially not if you like 800x600*3=1,440,000 pixels.
 While the PC Interface of the "Virtual i-glasses!" does accept VGA
input, some of that resolution is lost when displayed on the LCDs.

There are monochrome VGA miniature LCDs available with
640*480*1=307,200 pixels, but they are very expensive.  We sell a
version of the "Virtual i-glasses" that uses these monchrome VGA LCDs
for $3,500.
