 Hi Folks,

 If you thought that you did not get enough mileage out of your visit
 to the VR Show that is currently on at the National Museum, maybe you
 were expecting a whiz-bang, Hollywood kind of show, but that's not
 what this Show is about. VR Show is more about showing how VR will be
 integral part of everyday life; entertainment is only one part of it.

 In a way, VR Show is more down to earth; rather than exhibiting
 systems that common man on the street would probably never be able to
 get his/her hands on, it is exhibiting systems that would be within
 people's reach in 5 years or so. It is not projecting a dream but
 Reality of Tomorrow. Hope you understand where this Show is coming from.

 To get better oriented, look at the various sections that are on
 display and available for you to interact with at the Show (most
 other exhibitions don't even let people touch their exhibits). In all
 there are more than 30 exhibits in the following categories.

 - VR for Arts and Culture
   * 3D Walk-through of Chinese and Sumataran houses
   * Virtual hand-painting in 3D
   * 3D cultural dances - Chinese, Malay and Indian

 - VR Museum - literally walk-through virtual caves
 - VR Center
   * Kitchen Design - The first successful industrial application of VR
                       in the world.
   * VR Courtroom - This shows Augmented Reality (VR is mixed with Real Reality)
   * Cybershopping in Funan Center
   * CyberTourist - Historical Temple Walk-through
 					  - Walk-through of Singapore Zoo
   * VR Trader
 - Medical VR - How VR is being used in the operation theater
 				 - Relax and Refresh

 - VR for Sports - a whole bunch of sports can be played in a VR setting.

 - Home VR
 - VR for Entertainment
 - CyberWedding
 - VR for Education

 So, the concept of the exhibition is different from a purely
 entertainment show. You not only can see the different applications of
 VR in real life but also different types of VR: with projection
 systems, with stereo glasses, with HMDs, with see-thru HMDs (also
 called augmented reality) and of, course desk-top.

 Hope you enjoy the experience and at the same time get a better
 understanding of what VR is and how it will be part of everyday life
 in the future.
