Ed;

I belong to a group of artists here at San Diego State University,
that are using the Virtual I/o glasses for an immersive art
project. We have had the glasses for about two months now with some
success. It seems to me that the serial port is sufficiant for
updating the graphics via the head tracker, and yes, you can view
stereoscopic images with them. All of this is dependant however on
the processing power of the computer where they will be used. The head
tracker communicates with the computer at various baud rates up to
19.2K/sec.. The computer has to then update and redraw TWO images (one
for each eye) of the virtual environment and send them to the
iglasses. On a high end workstation they would operate fine because
the iglasses are only a viewing and communication device. I hope this
answers some questions. Good Luck.
