I've had a VB for about a week now and I love it. The red/black only
is not a problem and the sense of depth is very good indeed. You just
really have to try this thing to make up your mind. I am fairly
confident that anyone who actually goes out and tries it will want
one. My only comment is that I hope they bring out a head mounted one
soon. Also I wonder what the "playlink" socket underneath it is going
to be for... :)

One a more VR note though.. I don't think it would have been a huge
deal to put a motion tracker in there and go for a proper immersive
experience. It certainly would move it away from the "red gameboy with
depth" label. I don't know about you but even if it's only battle
zone; if it's a console, it's got stereoscopic depth and it tracks my
horizontal head movement I'm there with my cash in a flash!

Here's my quick review of the games I've got:

Super Mario Tennis: Lovely depth and challenging on anything above
"easy" level. A good intuitive game for people with manuals in
Japanese :)

Red Zone: Line drawn 1st person persp. shoot em up with a lovely sense
of enclosed space and depth. Annoying that it doesn't save your
position but wow anyway. Great lateral movement as well as
pitch/yaw. Also you can go backwards. There's a hangar level near the
beginning where you surprise a bunch of grounded ships and little
stick men crews run away from you! Haven't got past level 3.

GALAXY PINBALL: Worth every letter of those capitals :) It's awesome!
finally some decent music too. Pinball lets you see the whole shaded
table in perspective. The use of space and depth is outstanding and I
have just gotten the high score on the "colony" table hahaha! The
sub-games are very neat as are all of the mechanics of the
tables. This should have been the pack-in game not tennis.
