From Jon Barrilleaux <jonb@sirius.com>

We are a small company looking for one or two individuals to help with the
next phase of our research and development work, which is a 2 year effort
to develop and demonstrate a personal augmented reality system (i.e.
wearer sees and hears the real world, with virtual world elements blended
in). The current application is military training, but there is great
potential for future commercial applications. The concept and technology
are definitely cutting edge, and the work will be challenging.

Qualified individuals must be self-motivated, communicative, easy to work
with, willing to push their personal envelope, have a good foundation in
3D computer graphics (preferably real-time and on SGI platforms), and have
at least 5 years experience in C software development. Experience with
systems design (i.e. hardware and software analysis, interfaces, and
integration), VR devices (e.g. spatial trackers, helmet displays),
real-time system development, Unix, C++, OpenGL, high-level graphics
packages (e.g. Sense8, MultiGen), 3D sound generation, wireless
networking, and distributed interactive simulation is desirable.

Contracting will be considered, but part-time and full-time employment is
preferred. The project won't start until March, 1996 so there will be
plenty of time to check qualifications and references of candidates.
Depending on individual circumstances, an equity position may be offered.
