Precision Navigation near San Jose has a small compass-based tracking
system-a "sourceless" tracking device. They supposedly have reduced the
size/weight/cost of the unit by shrinking the elex to an ASIC and also
reduced the size of the tracking coils. It will give you head-orientation
angles, but not position. This would be better than a GPS-based system
(smaller, lighter, cheaper).
