CANADIAN COMPANY UNVEILS STAR TREK TECHNOLOGY

Winnipeg, MB Liquid Image Corporation, the award winning, world leader in
development and marketing of location-based entertainment products, and
Canada's only developer of advanced handheld display devices for use with
portable computing devices has announced a major new OEM product. The MRG6
Monocle is a high resolution screen display worn near one eye, somewhat
like the evil "Borg" of the "Star Trek" series. The MRG6 provides
industrial, military and commercial users of portable, wearable computers
with a high brightness, low power video picture comparable to that of a 14"
VGA monitor at 4 feet.

Connected to a wearable computer the MRG6 becomes a powerful visual
tool, allowing the user to be mobile and use both hands to work. Such
displays will shortly become indispensable to the soldier, as armies
around the world augment the 20th century foot soldier with 21st
century electronic aids. Firefighters and police officers will be
using the MRG6 in the same way but as a tool to save lives by using
the technology to give them the edge. Other options that can be
integrated into the MRG6 are speakers, microphones, eyetracking, and
cameras. "Canada is about to begin a major development program to
bring this kind of technology to the military", said Dave Collette, VP
Engineering and head of the Portable Computing Devices division," and
we hope this program will show other industries that this technology
is worth the investment."

The MRG6 is water resistant and can be offered fully immersible. The
MRG6 technology has been tested and field trialed for over 1 year
achieving award winning results with the U.S. Army. It has recently
been demonstrated at Computing Devices International, in Minneapolis,
and the Defense and Civil Institute of Environmental Medicine, in
Toronto.

The MRG6 can be mounted to a worker's headgear or be custom integrated
to allow for equipment such as oxygen masks and scuba gear. "During
the initial internal testing I got to use a prototype MRG6 with my
desk PC", said Dan Waldman, Office Manager, " and I got so used to
having the extra information simultaneously available that I missed it
when the development team took it back."

"The MRG6 has the lowest power consumption available in the world for
a product of this quality", said Tony Havelka, President of Liquid
Image. "There are competing products but none can beat the battery
life that the MRG6 delivers, we guarantee it!"

"Liquid Image is ready to ship OEM quantities of the MRG6 Monocle,
and we are in discussion right now with some American and Pacific Rim
companies who are have specific applications in mind", said Dave
Collette. "OEM design requirements can rapidly be integrated into the
MRG6 as every manufacturer has their own needs."

Complete MRG6 Monocle specifications and colour pictures are available
