Parasitic and microbiological transfer is an important issue to
address with respect to utilizing HMDs in a public venue. We provide
all of our customers with a detailed report, upon request, on dealing
with these issues. You should ask the same from your HMD
manufacturer.

With respect to the paper caps, some HMD manufacturers have tried this
and it didn't work out too well. First of all, some people think
wearing an HMD makes one look silly - requiring all users to wear a
paper shower cap will guarantee that everyone will have that same
opinion. Second, with proper disinfection and user screening, the
chances for transfer are drastically reduced. Third, let's say there
was something "bad" in the HMD and the paper cap did block the
transfer. Now the user takes off the cap and puts it in their pocket
and carries the organism around with them. Hopefully the organism
will die, but pockets, being as warm as they are, chances could be
pretty slim. Now the user puts their hand in their pocket and
... (see where I'm going?)

Also, head lice can jump almost 6 feet, they don't like cold HMDs -
they like a nice warm clean head.
