I am trying to convert a Microstation file to a .wrl to view using
WebSpace. The converter I am using is WCVT2POV V2.6a. First we have to
convert the Microstation format to .dxf (WCVT2POV V2.6a does not
support direct conversion from Microstation format to .wrl). We do
this in Microstation. Next we opened the file in WCVT2POV V2.6a
selecting the .dxf option. The converter reads in all the 'lines' then
draws the object, but we can't see it.

Looking in the help menu prompted us to check the colour of the model.
In the colour and texture info dialog box we had many layers (now
numbered differently to the model in Microstation prior to .dxf
conversion) and these were different colours.

Is the problem to do with WCVT2POV V2.6a not converting surface info?
Is there a better converter than WCVT2POV V2.6a?
Are we making a basic error?

Your help would be most appreciated.
