We're putting together a tutorial for VRAIS '96 on how to build
multimodal virtual worlds - basically how to incoporate voice,
gesture, gaze and body tracking into the interface.

As part of this tutorial we'd like to create a web site with links to
as many research groups as possible who're doing multimodal
research. We already have links to groups at CMU, the MIT Media Lab,
the DIVE and MASSIVE projects, Sony, Microsoft and others. It's hoped
that tutorial participants and others will be able to use this site as
a starting point for learning more about how to build conversational
virtual environments. We also plan links to companies who sell various
voice and gesture recognition products.

If you know of any sites that may be relevant or are doing work
yourself that you'd like to have on our site please email me with
details.

The VRAIS tutorial isn't until the end of March, so we'll make a public
announcement about the site location shortly before then.

Thanks for your help,
			Mark
