I'm in the third year at university, and am researching virtual
reality for my final year thesis. Areas of interest include the
displacement of traditional theme parks; the changing focus of
heritage tourism as virtual reality allows for visual exploration; and
vitual travel. The title of my thesis is "Will virtual reality /
interactive experiences positively enhance visitor attractions, or
become a substitute for them? What will be the social implications for
related developments in home-based entertainment?" Any views and/or
knowledge of existing projects would be most appreciated
