At the risk of sounding too much like another plug - you can get info
on programming using the CyberMaxx Enigma stereo encoding in "The
Virtual Reality Homebrewer's Handbook"
(http://www.shef.ac.uk/~vrmbg/vrhmhb/vrhmhb.html). The CD-ROM
accompanying the book includes a Personal Copy of 3DWare v1.0 and a
full manual in Adobe Acrobat form (reader also on the disk).

The SDKs for other low-cost HMDs are also now available from their
various Web sites, and probably include drivers for programming in
stereo.

Cheers,

Robin
