Well, let's see. To get VR you need to meet at a certain degree these few 
points:

- 3D imagery
- Immersion
- Real-time interaction

A CAD is a tool that enable you to create content for the 3D imagery point 
above. The two others, immersion and interaction are provided by the VR system 
itself. So a CAD software is helping you create in part a VR world. It's a 
tool. The VR system, on the other hand, is responsible for putting all things 
togetter and make it run efficiently in regard with the criterias that makes a 
system a VR one.
