Superscape VR plc announces that the Visualiser for Silicon graphics, 
a new virtual reality tool for viewing real-time, PC-authored three-
dimensional applications on SG UNIX workstations, is now shipping. 
For a special introductory period, the product is priced at =A31,200.

Visualiser for Silicon Graphics systems is a platform on which 
businesses and developers creating real-time three-dimensional 
virtual worlds using Superscape's PC-based authoring tool, VRT 4, can 
view their applications utilisng the superior rendering capabilities 
and high quality visualisation of Silicon Graphics workstations 
running IRIX operating system version 5.3 or later.

"Coupling these leading VR technologies offers businesses and 
developers a new cross-platform solution for virtual reality 
application development", said Linda Jacobson, virtual reality 
evangelist for Silicon Graphics. "Businesses that need superior 
rendering capabilities and advanced real-time visualisation can now 
view PC-based solutions on Silicon Graphics hardware".

Viewing virtual worlds through Visualiser for Silicon Graphics 
greatly enhances the experience of the virtual reality application. 
Subtle lighting, textured shading and faster rendering capabilities 
available through Visualiser for Silicon Graphics give the user a 
more realistic virtual reality experience than previously possible. 
Other features of Visualiser for Silicon graphics include over forty 
different world navigation styles, 3D animation, configurable haze, 
fog and smoke effects and anti-aliasing which is used to smooth 
jagged lines and polygon edges.
