I've the VFX-1 now for about 2 weeks, and i've a few remarks. By no
means a complete review, just the first experiences:

it did'nt work with my Stealth 64 VRAM video card. I had an old card
on the shelf but it is slow. Now i have to buy a (also slower) DRAM
card to let it work, at the cost of the speed of the video. What also
bothers me is the lack of a documented programmers interface, so you
have to hack around to integrate it into your own software (like
REND386). The tracking also seems to have some problems, when i nod my
head (up and down) the tracking seems to move in a egg-shaped oval. (i
think this first occured with the new updated driver obtained from
compuserve). There is little game support for real 3d stereo vision.

But, putting all these (positive) critisism aside, i alread love the
thing. The audio is great, i like the 2axis puck wich comes with
it. And the immersion is great. I hope the product will catch up in
the market, so that the company can continue to support this product,
and somewhere down the line release the program API to the public
domain.

Anybody interrested to join me into reverse engineering the API specs?
(btw, this is legally allowed in my country).
