Design Technologies International (DTI) has released the first fully
integrated AutoCAD and AutoDesk Mechanical Desktop for Windows
application for 3D kinematic and dynamic simulation and animation. The
application is called Dynamic Designer Motion (DDM). DDM can simulate
and animate the 3D motion of any, real or virtual, machine or
structure which is build from parts connected by joints, springs,
dampers and actuators. Impact and prescribed forces, torques, linear
motion and rotation can be included as required. In addition, path
following and cam-follower mechanisms can be simulated. The motions
are computed according to Newton's Laws and the resulting animations
are realistic. All the power of AutoCAD is available to make the
simplest to the most complex geometries and renderings.
