I bought a S3 TRIO64 card, and it works fine. with this card came the 
program FCON.EXE which allows you to enable the feature connector.
It worked fine. Even under windows95.

I did calibrate the VFX, but it didn't fix the problem. Do you calibrate 
with the visor always at the horizontal 0 circle, or do i have to do some 
circles at other circles. (is this what you mean with different pitches, 
or do you mean different step sizes around the circle)
