I realize that this discussion has been around awhile, but I
couldn't resist getting up on my soapbox.

I'm glad someone is responsible for clearing up this whole VR,
VE, MUD, Cyberspace (and a few other buzzwords more), mess. Maybe
after some explanations have been tossed out to the mass of obviously
ignorant media morons out there, I might be able to go and see a good
VR, oops buzzword there, movie instead of Psycopath Computer Nerds And
Their Toys I, II, and III.

> many products have been associated with VR when in fact they are only 3D
graphics tools.

Yes, I would have to agree. The list is long, and very questionable.

> Nobody is working harder at bringing the cost of a serious VR graphics
engine down.

"Excuse me. Do you have any ONYX workstations for $200"
"Yes. There's one in the back. I'll send it out to you tommorow."
Just a little dream on mine.

> Please be an evangelist for hope and promise, not negativity and caution.

I second that, there is too much potential for the good uses of this
technology not to.

BTW, good work on the web page Ian,
http://www.cs.jhu.edu/~feldberg/vr/vrbg.html, and good luck maintaining it.
