Hi,

We am starting a VR project this summer on the SGI Indigo-2 WS. Our
first task is to find out the right VR software and hardware that we
need to use for this project. I am looking for suggestions on which
software and hardware we should buy for our project. The project deals
with developing a an Air Traffic Control system using VR. For the
software, we are looking for a VR design package which

1:) Works under the SGI Indigo-2 WS and takes full advantage of the SGI
    OpenGL Libraries.

2:) It provides the option of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) to create
new objects, and to use existing objects to develop a new VR design.

3:) Provides with a 3D stereoscopic VR designs.

4:) Supports many of the VR hardware such as tracking devices, HMDs,
    gloves.

5:) cost less than $15,000.

As for the hardware, we are looking for a head mounted display with head
tracking, and the LCD sutter glasses both of which should

1:) provide stereoscropic 3D images

2:) Have the best resolution/price ratio (resolution has to be greater than
	720x230 (RGB) )

3:) cost less than $10,000/unit.

If you have any suggestions, please respond to this post via email. My
email address is murti@wpi.edu
