video, sound or other?
- Do you have a digital camera, video, DAT, or other wild electronic device
(keyboards, musical instruments....)
- Experiment with some of the most talented netcasters/webweavers in Australia

Byte the Big One! @ the Roxy 23 November, will be netcast live over the
Internet through an ISDN pipe
(sponsored by Ipswich City Council) (more details see end of this message)
BTBO is expected to sell out at the Roxy with over 2000 people, 9 bands and
3 stages of Australian Music. There are also 9 workshops during the day
covering film, music and multimedia.

The Concept: A production team of 20 - 40 people collecting sounds,
images, video, creating graphics in a Hybrid network of PC's, Mac and SGI
equipment, all connected to a SGI webforce server, connected to an ISDN
pipe down to Ipswich City Council.

A couple of Web-Jockey's, similar to a D-J spinning tunes, except spinning
multimedia on the web live. Users will also get to access live cameras in
located in each of the 3 stages in the roxy and CUseeME. The team will
also perform our own music, video and interactivity.

This in turn will be piped through any broadcast media we can find
 - currently negotiating with a national broadcast TV station to air it on
the night
 - radio station for simulcast stereo

We've asked Silicon Graphics to supply the server (A very good possibility)
Apple for some high end production boxes (A good possiblility)
PC boxes (Don't know of any yet - any ideas?)
Macromedia for all their software (they've said yes!)

PLEASE come along to the info production meeting on Thursday night @7pm
- If not, please pass this on to somebody you know will be interested.

WHAT"S IN IT FOR YOU:
- a Macromedia T-Shirt, maybe some software
- Free entry to all the workshops and event (Value of $60)
- Play with some of the best multimedia equipment, creative and technical
people in Australia

HAPPYNETCASTING!
