Well, Pari and "Guys," the VR interest group, VeRGe (a.k.a. the
Virtual Reality Education Foundation, Inc.), meets regularly a few
miles north of Silicon Valley, in San Francisco, at the Exploratorium
science museum. VeRGe was launched in 1992 as a community forum for VR
enthusiasts. VeRGe events include panel discussions and hands-on
demonstrations, each meeting focusing on a particular trend or
issue. Lots of Silicon Valley folks participate in the meetings.

VeRGe just launched its fledgling Web site, which includes links to
meeting reports dating back to Feb. '95 (such as early VRML
discussions; many of the pioneering VRML site creators are VeRGens).

Web site is www.verge.org. To sign up for the VeRGe announcement
mailing list, send the message body SUBSCRIBE yourname to
verge-events-request@cyberwerks.com.

Hope this helps,
Linda Jacobson
