Hi,

I doing my master thesis on the subject of virtual environment based
training for cosmonauts. One of the tasks is to evaluate performance in
an environment with a varying number of cues. So after reading a number
of article on the theoretical way to measure presence (Zeltzer,
Sheridan, Ellis, master-thesis by Keith Hullfish, etc) I figured I was
ready to actually do some experiments.

Right, so I go my hands on the Immersive Tendencies Questionnaire (ITQ)
and Presence Questionnaire (PQ) created by Witmer & Singer. But they use
four discriminating categories: Control, Sensory, Distraction, and
Realism factors. Not three like Zeltzer and Sheridan.

My questions:

0 Can anybody explain to me how to convert this four category scale
into either the Zeltzer or Sheridan model ?
0 Does anybody know of other measures for performance in virtual
environments, especially questionnaires based on either Zeltzer or
Sheridan ? (My performacne parameters are, time to completion,
accuracy and the level of simulation sickness).
0 Has anybody got some HARD data on tests. (rather than vague
  answers and maybes)

Best Regards,
	Niels Hilbrink
