Hmmm, without disrespect for all the VR-research/researchers in the
field, it looks to me that VR is a technology which offer solutions to
yet unknown problems. It feels to me that we (VR-comunity) try to
intergrate VR into every possible problem without realy looking at all
the altenatives.

I mean VR-cinemas ??? I don't think the general public is waiting for
those kind of apps, at least not with the kind off quality it
offers. I think if we continue to market these kind of applications as
the 'killer-apps' for VR then we stand to loose the public's interest
in VR altogether.

In my opinion we should develope the high-end part of VR first, get
the basics right, and then continue to grow in the general publics
view. I mean the telegraph could be viewed as a the technological
forerunner of the telephone, The telegrapgh cleared the way for
telephone. In that same fasion VR might clear the way for a more
sophisticated technology.
