As there seems to be much discussion at present regarding the
current state of the VR industry, readers of this newsgroup may
like to take a look at my Virtual Reality Investor pages at:

http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~offshore/index.html

There is also an archive of past articles at:

http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~offshore/archindex.html

The purpose of the VRI articles is to give private investors and those in
the financial community some grounding in what is still a very immature
industry. The focus is on the history, current financial performance and
market strategy of leading VR companies and companies with VR
connections. Consequently I appreciate that the lack of technical
information means that the pages will not be of interest to all sci.v-w
readers.

The analysis is, I hope, hard-headed but balanced, and I have tried to
avoid becoming yet another repository for rehashed company press
releases. Also, rest assured that I am not taking an unduly pessimistic
view - I'm afraid the news is just not very good at present.

Should readers have any comments on any of the articles, or news they
would like to share on other commercial VR companies, I would be
pleased to hear from them.
