SIDs, CAVEs, and VETs create a sense of shared experience -- of magic
-- that necessarily escapes empirical human factors testing.  HMD's
don't.  That's why corporate buyers will pay for the former and shun
the latter, John's good arguments aside.  This, like most business
decisions, is not entirely rational.
