I. Job description The Product Manager will be responsible for understanding customer requirements and the functionality growth of Division's core digital prototyping and virtual reality products. He or she will work with customers on the use of the products in their environments and then convert customer needs, current and downstream, into functional specifications in conjunction with Engineering. A knowledge of CAD strategies and other software tools in the engineering enviroment will assist in setting Division's future product strategy. Also, this person will be responsible for understanding the competitive situation, pricing, and the delivery of the marketing message for use by the rest of the company. II. Background The ideal background would include the following experience: Mechanical Engineering BS or similar; several years of design experience or project mgmt experience in a large manufacturer of large complex products; and several years of experience in a CAD/CAM/CAE company in either field sales/technical support and/or in Product Management.
