We are finding that spatially immersive displays such as the
rectilinear cave, curved screen, or domed screen projection displays
are serious contenders for the delivery of compelling VR experiences.
One can create an "armchair VR" experience with such displays with or
without stereopsis.

The result is ultra-wide instantaneous FOV, high resolution, and group
immersion within a transparent, walk-in environment. All that remain
for such a home system are cheap multi-pipe image generators.
