Thomas A. Powell, as part of an eight-part series on Web tools,
draws a consistently unflattering portrait of Web VR including
a special denunciation of VRML. In one respect at least Powell
is on the target: the application of VR technologies online
has been uninspired compared with the aspirations of the VR and
VRML developers and promoters. Otherwise, I think Powell under-
estimates the technology and its inherent capabilities.

How strange that with so much power at hand we can do so little
to positively affect others' experience. And even less to move
the markets. I think we're barking up some wrong trees.
