1) Is this the right news group to ask the following?

2) Costco has some shutter glasses for $79.  Is this a good deal?  I
don't know the specs-- can such devices be used with most games, like
doom and descent, or do they require special versions of the software?
Is it hard to write one's own code to accomodate the 3-D shutter
glasses?

3) Where can I find this information if not here?
