The CAVE Users Society (CAVERNUS) has been releasing VR applications which will run on most SGI machines. Included in the releases are "Crumbs" (a volume visualization tool for VR) and the "Walk through Chesapeake Bay" which were both featured at SuperComputing96. These apps and others can be found in the CAVERNUS pages at: http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/VR/cavernus/ The CAVElibrary is designed to run in most VR environments, with the proper configuration file. For information on how to set up for Head Mounted Displays, Booms and Responsive WorkBenches checkout: http://www.evl.uic.edu/pape/CAVE/ConfigTricks.html Caveat: The CAVElib works best with the EVL wand interface but it can be emulated by the dials and button box or purchased through Pyramid Systems. For the ambitious, the CAVElibrary tracker daemon will allow you to interface your own devices to the applications.
