SENIOR 3D GRAPHICS SOFTWARE ENGINEER, San Jose, CA

Company Background
 Corporate mission is to establish & lead the market for automatically
generating 3D graphics object libraries from real-world imagery. Company
has recently developed software algorithms for automatically converting
real-world imagery to 3D graphics models, and seeks a technical team
leader capable of defining and developing resulting products.
* Spun-out mid-1997 from a profitable private company founded mid-1994.
* Corporation is currently funded with combination of private capital
and DoD R&D contracts, with additional contracts pending.
* Business plan supporting rapid growth leading to IPO with first round
venture capital in process.
* Company is located in downtown San Jose, California.

Position
* Title: "Senior 3D Graphics Software Engineer"
* The overall goal for this position is to develop techniques,
algorithms, and product components for integrating company=92s algorithms
as front-ends or plug-ins to leading 3D authoring tools.
* Report to President & CEO, pending hire of Director of R&D,
Engineering.

Responsibilities
* Design, code, debug, and support graphical user interfaces.
* Design, code, debug, and support scene hierarchy tools, output
formatting convertors, and decimation/clean-up applets.
* Design, code, and debug plug-in interfaces for leading 3D authoring
tools such as MultiGen, SoftImage, PowerAnimator, and 3D Studio Max.

Professional Qualifications
* 3+ years software development experience.
* Demonstrated expertise in 3D graphics software, specifically low-leve=
l
3D modeling algorithms (not hardware rendering).
* Contributed throughout development/introduction of at least one
successful 3D modeling software product, preferably at a start-up
company.
* Significant experience with target 3D authoring tools, and programmin=
g
in OpenGL, OpenInventor, Microsoft Foundation Class, and Windows NT.

Education
* BS in computer science or electrical engineering, with emphasis on
