Dear List Members

RESEARCH REMINDER / INVITATION - THE FUTURE OF VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS

This post is a follow up to a post made at the beginning of August. It is
a reminder to those of you who may still wish to participate in my Masters
of Marketing research project concerning the future of virtual
environments. Those who are viewing this information for the first time
are also welcome to contribute.

The initial research consists of seven questions that should take between
15 to 30 minutes to answer. The questions can be answered on line at the
following URL

http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTriangle/4681 .

There will be two short follow up questionnaires - one in mid September
and one in late September. Questionnaires have been developed to minimise
the response time required by you.

The project is the research component of my Master of Marketing thesis
which I am undertaking at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. The
outcomes of the research will be a description of possible virtual
environment futures, an analysis of the emerging issues for businesses and
consumers and a critique of existing business and market models in the
light of these possible futures.

The above site also includes a letter from Professor Mark Gabbott,
Professor of Electronic Marketing at Monash University confirming my
credentials.

If it is your intention to participate can you please endeavour to submit
your response to the initial questionnaire by the 5th of September. The
final report, excluding any personal or corporate identifiers, will be
made available to each respondent.

If you have any queries regarding any of the above or the attached please
do not hesitate to e-mail me - rwebster@netspace.net.au. I thank you for
your consideration of this request and look forward to hearing from you
further in this regard.

Yours sincerely
