Your posting about graphics accceleration did not note your price range.
I work for a PR agency that represents Hitachi America and wanted to fill
you in on a graphics subsystem they manufacture.

SPHERIX, a 3D graphics subsystem, greatly exceeds the capability of
single-card accelerators. It is a free-standing unit, linked to a host
computer via a dedicated PCI interface card. SPHERIX enables Intel
Pentium and Digital Alpha computers on Windows NT networks to deliver
real-time, hardware-accelerated geometry and rendering performance. It is
available in a range of configurations including up to four geometry
processors and up to four rendering managers. With the maximum
configuration, the subsystem enables PCs to generate up to three million
polygons per second with a texture fill rate up to 320 million pixels per
second.

As you might expect, it's very expensive compared to single-card
accelerator boards, but I thought people out there might still be
interested in learning about it. SENSE8 is the first authorized reseller
of SPHERIX, and the subsystem is bundled with a single copy of either
WorldToolKit or World Up software. For more information, the
marketing/sales V.P. at Sense8 is John McCrea. Ph: 415/331-6318, E-mail:
