This mail is to announce the next workshop organized by the French Working
Group "Virtual Reality".

This working group was created at the beginning of 1994 year, with the
help of the CNRS (French National Center of Scientic Research) and
Research Ministry. This group is composed of more than 30 academic
and industrial research teams from all regions of France. The aim is
to federate the research efforts of the teams working in the different
application fields of virtual reality. For that purpose, we have
organized four workshops:

	- in Paris (27 April 1994) 15 teams, 20 people to introduce
	the teams

	- in Sophia-Antipolis (11-12 July 94) 22 teams, 42 people
with an invited conference (Pr Henry Fuchs, University
of North Carolina), talks and demonstrations.

	- in Grenoble (9-10 February 95) 25 teams, 66 people
with talks and demonstrations. We focused more on tactile
	feedback.

	- in Rennes (29-30 January 96) 24 teams, 46 people with talks and a
visit of a simulation centre of the French Army.

	- in Toulouse (16-17 October 96) 30 teams, 48 people with talks and a
visit of a simulation centre of Aerospatiale company. Proceedings have been published and are available on the Web site.
