The *problem* is that ID is more interested in gaming and making money
than in standardizing VR. Two years ago my brother and I contacted
them in hopes they would assist in putting their knowledge into VR in
education.  We were told that "they had more projects than they could
handle...making money...and there was no interest...."  I agree, they
have some really neato stuff and their graphics for "home" machines
are wonderful, but until they see the need and run out of money making
ventures, I'm afraid that we will never get to utilize their
talent....: )

two years....
