Karem:

For about $40.00 you can get the book called "Virtus VRML toolkit" It
is published by Hayedn Books and a CD is included that has Virtus 1.1,
and all sorts of drag and drop galleries.

This is enough to put together something that is one mile square. You
can set up hot links where ever you want. There are a lot of examples
and a whole lot of them are archeological, which I thought was very
interesting.

If you want to use textures you can create your own in Photoshop or
some other art program and save as a *.bmp file, but before exporting
it to a website (Geocities is free you know) you have to convert the
*.bmp files to *.jpg or *.gif files.

This is a good beginner's book and all the software you need is there
to create an interactive vrml website. You have to admit that $40.00
isn't all that expensive compared to some of the software that is out
there that ranges in the hundreds.

Hope that helps,
