Thought you'd be interested in a quick update on the VRML.SGI.COM
"Buzz.wrl of the Week" winners for Week 5 (the halfway point of the
contest).

Shout Interactive's two-week run as the Editor's Choice winner came
to an end, as Jef Hancock, Shane Carroll and Robert Saint John
picked up the title for their interactive "Delta VRML Banner" (a cool
use of VRML for banner advertising, if you haven't seen it, you
should).

However, don't feel bad for the team at Shout as they made it a three-
peat for the People's Choice award for "MOD Mania". Congrats to both
winners.

For the next week, the contestants are:
   * The Virtual Press -- a highly interactive demonstration showing
the potential for VRML-based education and training scenarios.
   * Faux Ray Tracing -- Realtime ray tracing? No..but a nice
     illusion of reflections and self-shadowing.
   * Rubic's Cube -- the VRML version of the famous Rubic's Cube.
   * Central Florida Estuary -- a detailed replica of a typical
     Central Florida esturay.
   * Happy New Year -- an interactive card just in time for the new
year...be sure to click on everything...

Be sure to vote for your favorite (for a chance at a Maximum DVD Kit
or a Fire GL 1000 graphics accelerator from Diamond
Multimedia) and submit your winning VRML
worlds...also, make sure that you read the official rules.

Buzz.wrl can be found at http://vrml.sgi.com .

Best of luck
