*********

G'day, and are you ready for some MUSIC and VIRTUAL REALITY?

Then put this one on your dance card:

   VeRGe presents:

"Eureka! An Evening with Fakespace Music"
featuring Christian Greuel and other Fakespace VIPs

   WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12
8 - 10 pm at the Exploratorium, San Francisco
     Requested donation, $5

Fakespace Music presents a new type of VR experience, one in which
sound is the fuel used to drive a continuous stream of 3D graphics,
all in temporal harmony with the music. It's like nothing ever seen
before, where the participant is free to explore a world generated by
music. Fakespace Music's "Soundsculpt Toolkit" lets music communicate
with the graphical elements of VR. As the music begins, the
participant is transported into a virtual world in which graphics are
controlled by the elements of the music. 3D objects gyrate in real
time to the tempo= =2E Kaleidoscopic mandalas pulse to the
beat. Melodies draw colorful trails across the virtual sky as the
participant moves through virtual space, discovering new visions at
every turn.

VeRGens, boogie on down to the Explo' to hear how music-driven VR
opens possibilities for new types of art and entertainment.
Come hear what *Computer Graphics World* dubbed "an intense
musical adventure."

Founded in 1988, Fakespace is a world leader and pioneer in VR
interfaces. Fakespace's famed BOOM and other advanced displays,
glove controllers and Immersive Workbench enable natural, intuitive
interaction with virtual environments. Fakespace has grown into a
leading supplier of VR technologies and interface subsystems used
with Silicon Graphics systems (and yes, VeRGens, that does mean this
VeRGe event marks a first: the first time we'll show a live demo on
a Silicon Graphis Onyx supercomputer). Fakespace focuses on providing
the tools that make the "Eureka!" experience accessible to people
in a growing range of fields. You won't want to miss this VeRGe!
