The goal of this edutainment initiative is to develop multi-user, 3D,
collaborative environments for kids (7-11 years), using multimedia and
game-like interfaces, which encourage the sharing of educational
content and media.  KidSpace, the first project in this initiative,
will be launched for a national trial during the 2nd quarter of this

We are starting the second project, ArtSpace, which would build on
top of the KidSpace technology and extend it. The infrastructure for
this project includes home-computers and high-speed networks (Cable
and ADSL). The mission of ArtSpace is to encourage creativity among
children using Asian arts. The design and development team will
comprise of Asian arts specialists and a mix of technical and
creative professionals.

Available Positions:

1) Children's Education Expert

This person should have extensive educational experience with
children aged 7-11, particularly in teaching methods and developing
educational programs that involve group activities amongst kids. The
position is both advisory and creative, so any experience with
conducting research in child education or in child psychology would
also be a definite asset.  Using computers in education or any other
computer background is helpful.  The team environment here will be
quite dynamic, creative, and interdisciplinary, and so the sharing of
different ideas on developing new kinds of entertainment for kids
will be highly encouraged.

2) Educational Media Expert

This person should have experience with developing, producing, or
directing educational media, such as television and/or radio programs
for kids, interactive CD-ROM software, or other children's
entertainment.  Ideally they would bring a deep understanding of the
childrens entertainment market, with an emphasis on developing media
that is appealing for kids.  Any marketing experience in the area of
childrens products would be a definite asset.  Computer background,
design, or other relevant artistic and/or technical skills are a
must. Ability to integrate verbal and visual ideas into concrete
scenarios from a kids perspective would be very helpful as well.

3) Autonomous Agents for Games Expert

This person should bring a strong background in autonomous agents, AI
and computer graphics. Applicant should have BS/MS/PhD in related
areas; relevant industry experience would be a definite plus for this
position.
